Avoiding SAP Audit Risk when Replicating

Most replication software products violate SAP’s stipulations, exposing you to SAP Audit risk and the risk of SAP-imposed technical restrictions.  The risk is real, but there is a solution.

Simplement Roundhouse SAP replication is different and does not pose these risks.  If you’re replicating today without using Roundhouse, you are likely at risk. If you will replicate in the future, make sure to avoid products that expose your company to risk.

Detail

SAP Note “3255746 – Unpermitted usage of ODP Data Replication APIs” prohibits customers from using ODP Data Replication API’s.  Quoting directly from the note: “SAP reserves the right to implement technical measures to restrict and audit the unpermitted use of RFC modules of the Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) Data Replication API”.

Unlike the other products, Simplement Roundhouse has never used these prohibited API’s and never will. 

Roundhouse is certified to replicate from* HANA, and supports many targets, including Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, ADLS2, S3, etc.
